the dash of a common churn, and turned by a

We have been tariffed a book, entitled
f1 Christian Progress," written by the Rev. V.
Jolly, for perusal. The work i well written,
and the author's idea, though rather unique,
are finely expressed, nnd in many instances
well authenticated. Hi.-) argument concerning
the authenticity of the Rible are clear and
forcible, and commend themselves to the gen
eral reader. We cannot now give a general
synopsis of the work, but would advice all who
wish to be edified and instructed to give it a
.careful reading. While, of course, wc cannot
expect that everyone who read it will endorse
all it pays, yet, " we can prove all things, nlid
hold fast to that which is good."
