A correspond ent of the Gardener's Monthly gives the following hints, which will be read vwith interest by the many admirers of 4his beautiful flower : In former years, when brought to the house from the coal pits to flower, they were placed at once in the sitthig-rooa; window, where xrc had a regular tem jperature of about 60 degress ; but the stalks were always slender and flower .rather small. Thinking it was too hot, 1 kept them other years in a cooler room .where the heat might perhaps not range .over .between 44 and 55, and the re sult ha? been much healthier looking plant and finer foliage. Besides this, they were not much behind what I have had in warmer places in other years. I am sure they "want very little ieat to do well. Another fact.
