Hops in all the various yard

and paying prices. The wheat
harvest is progressing rapidlv, the
yield beinn over average and ex
ceeding the farmers expectations.
Potatoes were never more plentiful
than now and are smooth, A 1
quality. Although some ot our
skeptics have declared that Oregon
was not a corn growing country, a
glance at the numerous thritty
patches in this locality will dispel
all such erroneous ideas, for the
yield is most bountiful, and the
product will compare favorably
with any eastern growth.
