that Chief Engineer Hood and

Cow creek cai yon for a month 01
so, have established a new route.
It will require 17 miles of new
track and one J5 i-fooi tunnel.
About 1000 men will be put to
work on the new road bed July 1st.
This was made necessary by last
winter's slides, and it is said to be
a better road than the original.
