The circulation outstanding at the end of last month was $192,120,406. This currency is secured bv $148, 197,000 in bonds, at 90 per cent, of their face value, and $64,710,155 in legal money. If the reduction in the National bank currency shall continue at this rate, it will be but $160,000,000 in 1891. $12S,000, 000 in 1892, and $90,000,000 in 1893.
