The proposition is from an eastern firm who agree to expend from 450,000 to ?75,000 in constructing a complete sewerage. The com pany ask that a franchise for S years be granted, and that at the expiration of 10 years the city shall have the right to purchase the sewers at cost price. The pro position is a good one, if the city can secure it without granting too much. It certainly should be carefully considered.
