Beckwith, a prominent church and
society worker, who has declared her

am elected mayor of Brooklyn, I will

Kilsby Kilsby, an 8-vear-oli child,

road, commending her to the care of

incurred the ill-will of some Virgin

named Hunter was removed and hia

the same state named Wreun. Some
Virginian republicans called on Mr.
Wanamaker to urge that Hunter bo
put back into his old place, and were
thunderstruck when the Postmaster
General replied as follows: "I ap
preciate the interest shown in behalf
of Mr. Hunter, and I regret that I
have not the time to o over the case
with you. But so far as Mr. Hun
ter's republicansim is concerned, that
alone shall not weigh in hia favor,
cor shall the democracy of Mr,
Wreun operate against bin." "But";

"Wrenn's politics got him in." "I
