odore Tilioo, the seventeen-year-old
son ot James Tilsoo, a well known
farmer, living north of here, had a
desperate battle with a monster
black saako yesterday. Uc was
pluwing when tbe reptile jumped
upon him frem the high grass

around his neck. A bard fought
battle ensued, in which the boy,
who was nearly paraljzrd with
fright, attempted to wrench the
snake from its fatal coil. lie was
fast losing his strriglh when s
large shepherd dog, a playmate of
his, came to the rescue, and seizing
the eoake caused it to loos; its
hold tifd fall to the ground, when
it wns killed.
