sort ol a monomaniac cn the sub
ject of gazing at the charms of
women. Within the past few
months ho is known to have enter
ed thirty-Gve houses. He goes
armed, but hia object is not rob
bcy, for lie never takes anything.
He always seeks women's bed
rooms. In nearly every instance
the inmates have been awakened
by his entrance, but he has al
ways managed to escape, and has
evaded the vigilance of the police
force.

J he sudden death of au Ohio man
who had discovered a new process for
manufacturing aluminum, aad who,
it is said, carried the secret with him
to the grave, has awakened a fresh
interest among the' stockholder of
the Keely Motor Company in the
work of the ever-hopeful inventor,
with natural apprehensions as to
what would be the effect of his unex
pected taking off. When Keely was
approached on the aubject the other
day by some friends in his workshop,
he laughed and said that there was no
danger that everything would be lost
iu the event of his death. '
"I have written out thes'cretof
my inventions," he said, "and if I
died somebody else could take up the
work and continue it."
The iuventor said that he never
felt in better health, however, or
mere confident of perfecting his dis
coveries. He had nearly completed
what he calls his "provisional
engine," he stated, and in a short
time would be prepared to make it
known and to apply for paccnts.
In this connection it is estimeted
that not less than $300,000 has been
spent in the inventor's work during
the past fifteen or twenty years.
