John Lee was hung at 10 o'clock
this moraine for the murder, of
Charles ' Chelin, at Brandon, on
the night of July 19, 1888. Execu
tive clemency saved Martin Moe,
who was to be bung with him,
from a similar fate. Ihey were
hard working, industrious fellows,
Lee had a grudge against Chelin
over a love affair. He and Moe
were drunk wlien they shot Chelin.
