Tittsburg Dispath,
Several days ago Lee Mackey was
plowing on the farm of C. 5. Max
well, near Buffalo village, Pa,when
lie stopped to dig away the sod
ubout a stump. As he pulled
iack the first flap of gra.s he was

flat stone, which evidently hadn't
jiot there by accident. Mackey
proceeded to investigate, and was
still more astonished to find that
inder the stone was a pot of shin
ing gold coin to the value of near
ly $3000 Mackey resigned his job
the next day and left for his home
in Greene county to enjoy thet'ruus
f his -good .fortune. The money
is supposed to been hidden Robert
Drydeu, who many years ago oc
cupied a cabin near by and was
somewhat of a miser.
