We would advise all future trav elers to avoid the "Starr route." The journey from Tacoma was somewhat remarkable on account of the time it occupied and the events that happened by the way. This above mentioned jail is. now the cause of much discussion amongst the already overburdened taxpayers and an injunction suit is threatened for the reasons that the expenditure is unnecessary; that all prison facilities needed can be furnished for one-half the sum by placing the jail in the basement of the court house ; that the contract price is exorbitant and that toe countv couvt in letting the contract j tiui not aaverr.ise oius, ana iei. uie contract to the lowest bidder, but let the same privately without competition.
