Lyonsville is the name of a new
town laid out and platted by J. C.
Lyons and his brother, across the
river from Mehama, on the line of
the Oregon Pacific railway. This
prospective city of the foothills is
in a fine location, to which in time
will be tributary a rich section of
farming country, already pretty
well settled, and there is no mason
why a prosperous town cannot
grow up there after the completion

He also preseuted a memorial to
the postmaster general for the
establishment of this service.
