Northwestern Miller reports the
crop condition unsatisfactory. In
stead of steady improvement there
had been a steady decline in the
general condition of winter wheat
have already appeared in Kansas:
Illinois to-day makes the poorest
showing for the crop of winter
wheat of any state in the wheat
belt, and indications are that that
state will prove a failure as far as
the yield is concerned, unless the
present extreme conditions are
mitigated. Indiana and Ohio
show no improvement. Prospects
in Missouri and Michigan are not
flattering. A survey of tho spring
wheat shows that in Minnesota
and Dakota seeding is about twelve
to fourteen days late, but tue con
dition of the ground is thought to
an offset for tha lateness ot the sea
son, deeding has practically com
menced this week. Reports show
cereals acreage in Towa and Ne
braska to be considerably below
average.

delegates for the Indianapolis con
vention were selecteu and instruct
