half cents per mile ; one bo-se or
man, one cent per mile loose
horses, one-fourth of a cent per
mile; loose cattle, one-six of a cent
per uiile ; sheep and hogs, three
cents each per trip.
That the said toll shall be col
lected upon the following portion
ot said toil road, and not otbei
jwise: Commencing at a point
j called Deer Crek, about one and
! one-half miles this side of what is
known as Lower Soda, in Linn
county, Oregon, and running to
the eastern boundary of Linn coun
ty. The said three cents per head
for snaep or hogs is all that shall
be collected from any xne- driving
hogs or sheep from Linn to Crook,
or from Crook to Linn counties.

The exercises will be as follows:
A summary of the year's work by
Mrs. Townsend, president of the
union; a paper by Mrs. L. P.
Round upon evangelistic work;
two recitations by young lady stu
dents from the college ; and an
address on the subject of "The
social side of the temperance re
form" by Mr. Wallls Nash ot Cor
vallis. ' These exercises will be
interspersed with good music. The
public are cordially invited to at
tend this meeting.
