Ray received the nomination by acclama tion. For representative, M. Brewer, of Bandon, received the nomination, also by acclamation. On motion made, seconded and carried, it was decided to make no nomination for sheriff. C. B. Leep, of Coquille, then re ceived the nomination for county clerk by acclamation. A motioD was then made, second ed and carried that no nomination be made for the office of treasurer. For assessor, C. H. James then received tbo nomination by accla mation. By motion it was decided to make no nomination for school superintendent. B. F. Smith was then nominated for county commissioner for four- year-term and E. J. Coffelt for short term by acclamation. On motion made, seconded and carried it was decided to adopt Die Socialist platform of the National party adopted at Iudianapolis in 1891, and pledge our support thereto. J. D. Myres was elected chair, man of the county central commit tee for ensuimg year, said commit tee to be composed of a member from, and elected by, each local iu the county.
