The rob bers got away with the registered mail pouch, but nothing more. They blew open the express car with dynamite, hut Express Messenger C. R. The passenger coaches were uncoupled at the robbrs’ ordes and left behind, the front end of the train being run ahead several miles before the desperadoes attacked the cars. Consequently the passengers slept through it all, and did not know that a hold-up had occurred. After the robbers obtained the registered mail pouch they com pelled the eugineer to uncouple the locomotive and carry them on a few miles.
