M. Yandecar on tbe bar at tbe mouth of the Oo- quille last week, the Recorder gave tbe following which is to the credit of our life-saving crew. Keeper Johnson and the life saving crew did B o rn e quick work although the parties wero upon the jetty before they got there. Tbe keeper and his crew launch their boat and reached the scene in less tliau four minutes after the iucident happened. Of course the keeper aud crew were ready as Keeper Johnson was watching the boat through afield glass, wbilo part of the crew had already goue to the boathouse aud donned their cork jackpfs. The distauce to the scene o f the disaster is near a third of a mile. Messrs Costello and Vaude- car lost their fish except two and their fishiDg lines, otherwise they were not much put out except the duckiug. They went out again Monday and Tuesday.
