Mr. Jackson had been long a member of the Baptist church, to which faith be held earnestly to the day of his death. Deceased was work ing iu one of the miues at River ton, nnd up to 1 o'clock on Monday whs in apparently good health, enjoyed his dinuer nnd was iu ex tra good humor nnd spirits. He returned to his work at the miDe, ami abont half an hour later fell and expired within a few minutes. It was heart trouble that caused his death.
