Mrs. Watkins received word last
week o f the death o f her father,
Elder J. C. Bunch, nt Milton, Flor
ida. which occurred March 27th.
T h e old uentlemnn was well and
favorably known in Coos county,
nnd this news will occnsiou sincere
regret to a host of acquaintances
and friend«, and sympathy to a
large circle o f bereaved ones,
among whom who are still hero,
his aged wife, seyernl son« and
daughters and many grandchildren.
Elder Bunch was advanced in
years, being above the three score
and ten allotment o f life, and had
eventful experiences therein. H e
wns a resident o f our section for
twenty odd years, an enterprising,
good citizen, respected by all. H e
wns a veteran o f the Mexican war,
nnd had been much o f his life on
the frontiir. Mr. Bauch went to
Florida on church work, somewhere
about a year ago; he seemed to be
doing well and had purchased a
home, expecting soon to have at
least a portion o f his fam ily with
him, but he took sick recently of
some local malady and it was too
much for him. The H er ald sin
cerely extends sympathy to the
fam ily and friends in this bereave
ment.
