That paper has too many subscribers who know, with out argument, that Coquille is the j natural location for our seat of government, and who will not take kindly to such opposition from their oiyn paper. The old town board met yester day and wound up the business of the board and inducted the new into tlieir office. All were present— Chairman Goodman, Trustees Drain, Brown, Lorenz and Perry, Recorder Myers and Marshal Johnson. After reading proceedings of last meeting, several bills were allowed and tho treasurer’s report read and approved. At this point the new ly elect mem bers, Messrs. W. S. Perry, J. II. Cecil, C. L. Gray, L. Harlocker and J. J. Lamb, presented lbemselves and were qualified. On motion of J. J. Lamb, W. S. Perry was elected chairman. The bond of Recorder J. Rowan was approved and be qualified and entered upon bis duties, with N. Lorenz and J. II. Nosier as sureties. Marshal G. A. Brown’s bond was also approved and filed, with him self and John Nasburg as sureties. On motion of Harlocker, Dr. S. L. Lencve was re-elected treasurer.
