Sun: Mr. Timmins, o f Astoria, came down on the Bandorille on her last trip, bringing several fish ermen and 21 Chinamen to operate a cannery on the Coquille river, which he will run for Messrs. Foard <Ss Stokes, o f Astoria. One night when Mr. Isaac Reese was «topping with me, says M. F. Hatch, a prominent merchant of Quartermaster, Washington, I heard him groaning. On going to his room I found him suffering from cramp colic. He was in such agony I feared he would die. I hastily gave him a dose of Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Rem edy. He was soon relieved and the first words he uttered where, “ what was that stuff you gave me?” I in formed him. A few days ago we were talking about his attack and ho said he was never without that romedy now. I have used it in my family for several years. I know its worth and do not hesitate to recom mend it to my friends and customers. For sale by Dr. 8. L. Leneve, drug gist. (Ooos Bey Mews.) Port Orford Tribune: Gapt. R. Schwarz and family arrived up on the Homer last week, and will make their future home on the place owned by the captain at Opbir Beach. The family disembarked at Frankport, while Cspt. Schwarz came to Port Orford, and passed on up to Bandon, on business con nected with the building o f the proposed steamer for the Coquille and coast trade. While at the Co- quille we learned that all the pre liminaries incident to the beginning o f the work are about completed, and that the success of the enter prise is assured. The enterprise is one not ouly of great importance to the Coquille, but to the Curry county coast, as we understand she will attend to I be needs o f the small way ports, such as Chetco, Arch Rock, Rogue River and Frank- port. Port Orford is at present well served, but another steamer on the route Would give us greater assurance of permanence and reg ularity, while the one rendering the best service winter and summer would no doubt receive the bulk of the patronage.
