to higher rates under new law, not only on nccount of disabilities for which now pen­
sioned. but also for others, whether duo to service or not.
Soldiers and sailors disabled in line of duty in regular army or navy since the war arc
also entitled, whether discharged for disability or not.
Survivors, ana their widows, of tho Black Hawk, Creek Cherokee, and Seminole or
Florida Indian wara of 1KV2 t.o 1842. are entitled under a recent act.
MEXICAN W AR SOLDIERS and their widows also entitled, if 62 years of age or dis­
abled or dependent.
Old claims completed and settlement obtained, whether pension has been granted
under later laws or not.
Rejected clair. s reopened nnd settlement secured, if rejection improper or illegal.
Certificates of service nnd discharge obtainod for soldiers and sailors of tho late wai
who have lost their original papers.
