We are aware that this is not usually the case with the people o f Dallas; but we notice agrowing tendency among the present genera tion (younger portion) to neglect the claims of the aged upon their gratitude— their humanity. Grandpa Kennedy is now over eight? years of age, and has a long time been a member of one of our local and m<>st influential teligious organisations. His age and natural infirmity precludes the possibility o f his liviug much longer; yet he has been left during the past week almost entirely dependent on the care of his aged wife and one child. The only assist ance tbe family has received has been from some young men in town outside the pale of any cburch organisation ! “ A la i ! f o r the ra r ity o f Chriitian charity /” Let US hear no more o f such neglect— such inhumauity.
