May we take this opportunity of expressing to those who have patronized us in the past, our sincere appreciation 01 such patronage; for, in the meas ure of business which has come to us, we have been able tG improve our service—to grow and thrive. Gardener won one quarter beef I Dairymen Next Wednesday, Jan. 5th, the regular meeting of the Coquille Val ley Dairy Association will be held in the Masonic hall, Ooquille. Be- si les an educational discussion on ensilage feeding by Mr. W. A. Matthews, this meeting will be most important, inasmuch as the re ports of different committees will be the first definite results in regard to the handling of our produce. Good offers have been made to the cooperative committee by dif ferent companies and their preposi tions will be discussed at this time. ‘ There is no reason why we should not get prices equal to those paid by any other district of this coast, how ever, to get these prices three things are essential -quantity quality and a reasonable cost of manufacturing. Attention to these details is in truth the most important part of success ful dairying and can be gotten only by organization. Every uccessful section here or in the East is or ganized. Wherever cooperative means is used, prices are high, and the reverse is true. We need and appreciate the of fers of different companies and creamery men. Let us hear and consider them justly—if they are satisfactory let us accept them—if not let us unite by seme means sim ilar to that used by successful dis tricts elsewhere and receive for our work what is rightfully due us. Every dairymen is needed at our next meeting. We cannot afford Io neglect tills part of our business when we realize the future value of our present endeavor. P ress O om . mittee .
