Oregon as Amended
Salem. Ore., March 20—The
following is a summary of the pro
visions of the Oregon game law,
known as Senate bill 99, and as
chapter 228 of the session laws of
1909:
Beaver, closed until January 1,
1920.
Buck Deer, closed season from
November 1 to August 1 following,
except in Wallowa, Union, Baker,
Umatilla, Grant, Malheur and Har
ney, where the closed season is from
November 1 to September 15 fol
lowing .
Female Deer, closed season at all
times. Night hunting and sale of
deer absolutely prohibited. Limit
of five deer in one season established.
Use of dogs, watching stands or
trails and mutilating corcass so as to
disguise sex of deer prohibited.
Spotted Fawn or Young Deer,
closed season at all times.
Elk, closed season August 1 to
September l; limit one male elk
in a season; killing of female elk
forbidden.
Mountain Sheep and Antelope,
closed at all times.
Silver GraySquirrel,closed season,
January 1 to October I.
WATER FOWL
Ducks, general law, closed season
February 15 to October 15. Limit,
35 ducks in one week. Sale per

be sold at any time, but the birds
must be pinioned by amputating the
first joint of the wing while young.
