Albert Garfield, H. P. Smith and
Port Sumner returned Sunday from
Southern Curry county where they
had been on a few day’s bear hunt
ing expedition. They succeeded in
bagging a number of bruins and se
cured all the bear oil they could
haul. One bear alone made about
20 gallons of the finest oil ever se
cured in this section or any other so
far as that is concerned.
In conversation with Mr. Gar
field he stated that there were doz
ens of bear in the woods down
•V,
there.
The boys had a fine
time and enjoyed the outing to the
fullest extent, as well as succeeding
in getting what they went after in
the way of game.
