Barry, of the Dayton Optimist, Oregon, who is in this territory representing his home tire insurance company, and incidentally to organize an asso ciation of the publishers of Coos Co. A meeting was called Wednesday, but at this date we have not learned the ultimate results. An association of this kind is of mutual importance to the publishers and their patrons. A uniformity of prices is established on all work, both advertising and in the job department. A number are exempt from the list, but there are several who should be in the schools. The compulsory school law is one of Oregon’s best laws. Parents who are narrow minded enough to either keep their children out of school or allow them to remain out of school in idleness before they have com pleted the eighth grade, are incom petent, and the arm of authority is recommended. Ever since the change in management of our store a tew weeks tuck our one great contention has In en toprovide room for the large stock of fur niture that we have on the road. We have had to put much of our time into making extensive improvements in our warehouse ami storeroom to accomodate this stock, so much so that we have neglected to make our bow before the pub lic. Is is our intention to run a furniture store, in all its lines, that will supply every necessity of our patrons in Bandon and vicinity. Our charges are reasonable, lower than elsewhere in the county, and lower than in the city. We will cater to all classes of patronage w ho appreciate a square deal in every resjvect, and a desire upon our part to secure any article of furniture not already in stock. If you are not already a customer of ours, we invite you to call. We know you will be surprised at the extent of our stock, and we want to get acquainted.
