Prof. C. E. Reynolds, of Port-
land, is conducting a studio of art
in a couple of tents next to Lewin’s
Meat Market. He had to take these
quarters on account of the scarcity
of rooms for that purpose. Mr.
Reynolds has met success in his line
all through the Valley and so far in
Coos County. We met him at
Hillsboro a year ago, at which time
he stayed in the ppera house two
weeks, giving satisfaction to his
pupils. He had an enteresting en
tertainment, and is a gentleman in
every respect. We understand he
will conduct open air performances
near the Cafe every evening, free,
for the purpose of advertising his
work, that of painting on glass. We
have seen a number of specimens
which show his ability in that line.
The work is carried so far as to give
lustre in sets of rings, etc. His wife
and little son are with him.
