Ed Johnson, from up the river, was a cal

Excitement prevailed throughout our little
place last week, when tlic Ban Francisco
disaster was reported. Several of our peo-
l le have relatives I here and a great deal of
uneiisincss was fill, but it is hoped that
none liHVe met with any mishap.
EJw. Fahy, Jr., with his wife, spent Fri
day with Mr. and Mrs. 8. W. Fahy of this

J. S. Thompson and wife who have re
sided here for the past year, departed Mon

Monday's boat for Coquille where they wert

Messrs T. Minord and Baynes, recently
from San Francisco, were guests of Mr and
