The delusion which is so often set forth as a reason that people should suffer the blighting influence of sa loons in tbeir community that they are aids in building up towns and in the increase of prosperity—is being quite well dispelled, in Bandon, at least, flere, the hidden claws of the tiger are creeping forth, and we find tbepeverso The saloon keeper—well he is only a common “boycottor.” He is not iLe great philanthropist who jeuilds towns and seta great move ments on foot for the good of his fel low-man, but displays the dog-in I lie manger policy. Well, of course the R ecordeb expected to be boycotted because it speaks out openly; but that the “boycott" should be extended to those who exercised their God giv en right, in expressing, by tbeir bal lots, what their reasoning powers de (ermined to be right, and what their consciences commended, deejares those so operating, devilish iu their nature, destructive, and not the mag n^njmous (own builders they were held up to be.
