In the affairs of mon there has been a tidal wave, of mob law, sw ep jug over the country, lately, that bodes no good to the welfare of the nation. Incidents of lynch law have become of too frequent occurrence, and a con dition unwholesome to law and order seems to be obtaining, which is surely blit the outgrowth of this disregard for law and order. Instances, of re cent date, are on record, where the pry of “ lynch him ” has been raised in trivial cases, and this tendency shows very plainly, to the thinking man or woman, the danger that lies in giving rein to mob law. Its every tendency and result is evil, and if t is not orusbed out by vigorous enforce ment of the civil law, it will be hard to foretell to what extent its damag ing influence may reach. i W. C. T. U. COLUMN C'bamberlaiu s Cough Remedy has a remarkable record. It bns been in use for over thirty years, during which time many million bottles have bemi sold and used. It-lias long been the standard nuil main reliance in the ; treatment of croup in thousands of homes, yet during al) this tim» no case bus ever been reported to the manufacturers iu which it failed to effect a euro. When givenaa soon ns the child becomes hoarse, or even as soon as th» croopy cough appears, it will prevent the attack. It is pleas ant to take, many children being very fond of it. It contains no opium or other harmful substance, and mny be given as confidently to a baby as to an adult. For sale by C. Y.
