Grand opening of public health building The grand opening of the public health building, the new- est building on the Tribal campus, was held on Friday, May 17. The building was named the Cheryle A. Kennedy Public Health Clinic in honor of longtime Tribal Council Chair- woman Kennedy and her dedication to healthcare. Before being elected to Tribal Council, Kennedy had a 30-year ca- reer as a health administrator working with Tribes, includ- ing serving as the Grand Ronde Tribe’s Health Director for nearly 15 years. The event also celebrated Wellness Canoe chicha’s first birthday.
