Masi, Lorena Rivera Roll No. 980 Dear Smoke Signals: What a wonderful keepsake edition of Smoke Signals on Nov. 15, 2023! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the Tribal members and community. Rosemary Jameson Roll No. 883 Dear Smoke Signals: I9ve just started exploring the special edition insert of Smoke Signals about the 40 Years of Restoration, and I9m already captivated by the depth and presentation of the content. It feels like I just received a new book. Last Sunday, my family and I had the honor of attending the 40th Res- toration event. Although we are not Native American, the warmth and kindness extended by everyone we encountered was truly amazing. An Elder seated beside me generously shared her insights and guided me through each part of the event. These moments remind me of my childhood in Oklahoma, where my father introduced me to the Cherokee and Creek cultures. Now, as a fa- ther myself, sharing similar cultural experiences with my son brings me great joy. Our visits to the Chachalu Museum and events at achaf-hammi (Tribal plankhouse) have signiocantly deepened our understanding and appreciation for your rich culture. Even at 50, these interactions have inspired me to enroll in courses on sociology and anthropology. The insights shared in Smoke Signals are invaluable. Thank you for all the hard work and dedication. hayu masi, Francis Meetze Tillamook Letters welcome Letters should be exclusive to smok signflz.
