Rose Festival Court visits
Members of the Grand Ronde Royalty welcomed members of the Rose
Festival Court as they arrived at Chachalu Museum & Cultural Center
on Thursday, May 9. The Rose Festival Court, paired with members
of Grand Ronde Royalty, visited the “Rise of the Collectors” exhibit at
Chachalu. They also visited achaf-hammi, where they listened to the
history of the Tribe and learned the Blue Heron dance. The Rose Festi-
val Court visits Grand Ronde annually in advance of the June 8 Spirit
Mountain Casino Grand Floral Parade in downtown Portland.
