Breastfeeding? Does your family include a child under the age of 5? If so, you may qualify for the Women, Infants and Children program. With WIC, people can receive answers to nutritional questions and access fruits and vegetables, whole grains, eggs, milk, cheese, juice, cereal and more. A WIC representative visits the Tribal Community Center on the third Tuesday of the month, which will be April 16. Clothes Closet open Friday mornings The Clothes Closet is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the first and third Fridays of the month and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. all other Fridays on the Tribal campus near the Elders Activity Center at the end of Blacktail Drive. The Clothes Closet accepts clothing, small appliances, small pieces of furniture, electronics and household goods that are clean and in good condition. It does not accept books, large TVs or large furniture, but there is a community board where people can post those items. Donations are accepted during regular business hours. For more information or emergency clothes, contact Lori Walk- er-Hernandez at 559-847-7565. Elders Marketplaces scheduled The Elders Marketplace will be held at Spirit Mountain Casino, 26820 S.W. Salmon River Highway, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, April 26, through Sunday, April 28. Future marketplaces will be held May 31 through June 2, July 12 through July 14, and Aug. 16 through Aug. 18. Elders seeking recipes for cookbook Tribal Elders are putting together a cookbook and will sending it to be published. They will then sell the cookbooks for extra money. To submit your favorite family recipe for the cookbook, send it to 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, OR 97347, Attn: EAC. Behavioral Health expansion begins The Health & Wellness Clinic is pleased to announce that expansion of the Behavioral Health Department is happening now. During the con- struction, entry to the Behavioral Health Department will be relocated near the main clinic entrance. Volunteers Needed! I am looking for a few Tribal Elders who would be interested in being in a video for the Smoke Signals YouTube Channel.
