Clothes Closet open Friday mornings The Clothes Closet is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the first and third Fridays of the month and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. all other Fridays on the Tribal campus near the Elders Activity Center at the end of Blacktail Drive. The Clothes Closet accepts clothing, small appliances, small pieces of furniture, electronics and household goods that are clean and in good condition. It does not accept books, large TVs or large furniture, but there is a community board where people can post those items. Donations are accepted during regular business hours. Chemawa offering firewood Food assessment seeking permits for Tribal members survey responses Marion-Polk Food Share and the Grand Ronde Food Bank are seeking responses to a Food Sovereignty Assessment survey by Grand Ronde area residents over the next couple of months. Two cords of firewood will be allowed per person. Firewood permits will be available on site only. No letters or proxies will be allowed. Tribal members must be present and how their ID to sign the firewood permit. The firewood will be available starting Saturday, March 2, and is ex- pected to be available on all weekends during March or until the logs are exhausted. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday only. The logs are located on Indian School Road Northeast just off of Chemawa Road Northeast. The gate is on the west side between the Interstate 5 off ramp and Indian School Road Northeast.
