The Oregon Arts Commission is seeking artists, including Tribal artists, to submit qualifi cations for consideration for the commission of artwork for the Forest Science Complex at Oregon State University in Corvallis. There are three commissions available: a project that addresses the ar- boretum entrance, an interior arboretum gathering space and the interior of Peavy Hall. Working in partnership with the nine federally recognized Tribes in Or- egon, artists are being encouraged to create artworks refl ective of cultural imagery associated with the state’s Native cultures. Funding for the three commissions is made possible through Oregon’s Percent for Art in Public Places program. The tentative schedule calls for fi nalists being selected by December and installation of artwork by fall of 2020. To submit an application or for more information, contact Oregon Arts Commission Project Manager Kate Ali at 541-937-4291 or via e-mail at aliartcoordinator@gmail.com. n Clothes Closet open Friday mornings The Clothes Closet is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the fi rst and third Fridays of the month and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. all other Fridays on the Tribal campus near the Elders Activity Center at the end of Blacktail Drive. The Clothes Closet accepts clothing, small appliances, small pieces of furniture, electronics and household goods that are clean and in good condition. It does not accept books, large TVs or large furniture, but there is a community board where people can post those items. Donations are accepted during regular business hours. For more information or emergency clothes, contact Lori Walk- er-Hernandez at 559-847-7565. n MARRIAGES IN TRIBAL COURT Tribal Court is now issuing marriage licenses and is able to perform marriage ceremonies for a fi ling fee of $40. For questions regarding scheduling, contact the Tribal Court at 503-879-2303. n Adult Members’ Trust and Minors’ Custodial & Rabbi Trust Funds WIC visits Community Center monthly Pregnant? Breastfeeding? Does your family include a child under the age of 5? If so, you may qualify for the Women, Infants and Children program. With WIC, people can receive answers to nutritional questions and access fruits and vegetables, whole grains, eggs, milk, cheese, juice, cereal and more. A WIC representative visits the Tribal Community Center on the third Tuesday of the month, which will be Nov. 20. Walk-ins are welcome between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 503-879-2034. n Investments in the Adult Members’ Trust Fund and the Minors’ Cus- todial and Rabbi Trust Funds are updated each business day. If you are a trust participant and/or if you are the parent/guardian of a minor member, you can access and review your balance and your minor child’s balance by visiting www.401Save.com. To log-in, the initial User ID is your (or your child’s) Social Security number, and the initial Password is “00” followed by your (or your child’s) membership number.
