Gonzalez Elder Dorothy "Dottie" Greene had an emotional greeting with Jack, left, and Margaret Parker during her 100th birthday open house held at the Tribal Community Center on Sunday, Sept. 30. The Parkers, who came from Gallatin, Mo., to attend the event, have known Dorothy for more than 60 years. The Tribe has not had a living 100-year-old member since Dec. 27, 2017, when Opal Davidson walked on. Greene officially turned 100 on Wednesday, Sept. 26. The meal is for all veterans and their family members. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with a meal being served at 6. In addition to the meal, there will be a drawing for prizes. Massage at Health & Wellness Center Mind, Body & Soul Therapeutic Massage started at the Health & Well- ness Clinic last year. Remember: Appointments for massage are not managed by the Health & Wellness Center staff. To schedule an appoint- ment, call 971-237-2561. WIC visits Community Center monthly Pregnant? Breastfeeding? Does your family include a child under the age of 5? If so, you may qualify for the Women, Infants and Children program. With WIC, people can receive answers to nutritional questions and access fruits and vegetables, whole grains, eggs, milk, cheese, juice, cereal and more. A WIC representative visits the Tribal Community Center on the third Tuesday of the month, which will be Oct. 16.
