S moke S ignals MAY 1, 2018 Social Services has bike helmets The Tribe’s Social Services Department has bicycle helmets available for distribution. Those needing a helmet should visit the department and sign a helmet application, as well as get fitted. For more information, contact Social Services at 503-879-2034. 17 Sewing class participants wanted The sewing classes that have been held at the Elders Activity Center have been canceled due to lack of participation. Classes could resume if at least six people commit to attending. To commit or find out more infor- mation, contact Elders Activity Assistant Dan Ham at 503-879-2233. The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Culture Committee would like to invite you to attend our upcoming First Foods Celebration on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Achaf-Hammi (Tribal Plankhouse) as we celebrate our tribal foods from pre-contact to post-reservation. ATTENTION BEADS Bead man here May 3 and 4 @ Elders Activity Center 9 a.m. til 3 p.m. Come by and check them out! Families are welcome to attend and bring a traditional dish or drink to share.
