TrackTown event on May 4
WILLAMINA – Willamina High School will host a TrackTown Youth
League event beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 4.
The event is part of a series of 15 free all-comer track meets being held
across Oregon and is open to all boys and girls between 7 and 14 years
of age.
Events will include 100-, 400- and 1,500-meter races, and long jump
and turbo javelin competitions. Previous track and field experience is not
necessary to participate.
Top finishers will advance to a championship meet being held at the
University of Oregon’s Hayward Field that will be held in conjunction
with the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Participants can pre-register individually at www.tracktownyouth-
league.com/meets and organizations bringing a group of 10 or more youth
should contact info@tracktownyouthleague.com.
Day-of registration will be held from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. and pre-registered
participant check-in will occur from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
