22 S moke S ignals MAY 15, 2016 Gooseneck School Family Reunion on July 9 reunion set for May 21 All former Gooseneck School students and their families will hold a re- union and potluck on Saturday, May 21, at the school, 21345 Gooseneck Road, Sheridan. Gooseneck School was a one-room schoolhouse for students in irst through eighth grades. It closed in the 1950s. The reunion will offer the opportunity to visit the old school, enjoy the company of old friends and share memories. LIHEAP program gets more funding The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which helps pay heating bills, has received additional federal funding. The pro- gram is open to Tribal members who have not received LIHEAP assistance as of Oct. 1, 2015, through April 1, 2016. LIHEAP is a irst-come, irst-served program and income criteria applies.
