22 S moke S ignals JUNE 15, 2015 Adult Foster Program Churches plan weekend of worship in June “A Place To Call Home” Eight churches that serve Grand Ronde-area residents are plan- ning a cooperative weekend of worship and prayer titled “Quest for Spiritual Renewal” on Friday and Saturday, June 19-20, at the Lighthouse Full Gospel Fellowship Church, which meets in the auditorium of Chachalu Museum & Cultural Center, 8720 Grand Ronde Road. Friday’s program begins at 5 p.m. with a potluck dinner, followed by a gospel music and praise sing-a-long. A time for testimony and praise stories will be allotted along with messages from local pastors. Saturday’s events begin at 2 p.m. with the Choraleers of the Afri- can Methodist Episcopal Church of Portland followed by a message from the pastor. The afternoon also will feature a time of testimony and messages. Other features may include drumming and dancing by local per- formers and a sing-a-long gospel music session. Churches involved include the Nazarene, United Methodist, Lighthouse Full Gospel, Willamina Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Seventh-day Adventist, Portland Af- rican Methodist Episcopal, New Horizon Pentecostal of Salem and Salem House of Prayer.
