Literacy Concert

Caty McCormick helps Timothy Murphy pretend to drive and beep a

and Community Barbecue held under the covered area in Tribal
housing on Tuesday, May 19. The Tribe’s Education Department
hosted the event, which included interactive songs and stories, one
of which was “Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes,” performed by
Jennifer Daniels.

The center pole for the arbor being built at Uyxat Powwow Grounds
was placed on Monday, May 18. The Douglas fir pole is 42 feet tall and
weighs 22,000 pounds. The arbor is on schedule to be complete by the
Marcellus Norwest Memorial Veterans Powwow in July.
