Royalty seeking past members
for Chachalu museum display
Previous Grand Ronde Royalty queens and princesses are being sought
as the current Royalty Court is trying to compile a picture and biography
collection of current and past Royalty for the Chachalu Museum & Cultural
Center, 8720 Grand Ronde Road.
“It would be great to have any past pictures and dates that you were on
Royalty Court, as well as a short bio of who you are,” said Royalty Coordinator
Jackie Manyhides.

Pattie Mercier, Tribal risk manager, participates in a Confederated Tribes
of Grand Ronde workplace violence/active shooter tabletop exercise in
the Tribal Community Center on Wednesday, March 18. The group, which
included representatives from Grand Ronde Tribal Police, the Grand Ronde
Health & Wellness Center, Advanced Security, Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office,
Yamhill County and the Oregon Office of Emergency Management, Oregon
State Police, Willamette Valley Medical Center, Salem Health, American Red
Cross and Tribal employees, was given a workplace active shooter scenario
and then they discussed current security plans that are in place and how well
they would work in such a situation.
Help wanted
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde’s 477 Employment and
Training Program and Land and Culture Department have resourc-
es that can be utilized along with community members who have a
passion for gardening or want to learn the art of agriculture.
