16 APRIL 1,2013 Smoke Signals Alex Wilkinson Meet Alex Wilkinson, a Tribal mem ber to be very proud of. She will graduate from Shorecrest High School in Shoreline, Washington, this spring and has just been accepted at the University of Washington for next fall. (Not an easy accomplishment.) She worked very hard! Alex was en rolled before the tribal enrollment standard was changed in 1999. She is a proud descendant of the original people of the Columbia Gorge. Registration will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Tribal gym. The Kids Fun Run for ages 10 and younger will begin at 11 a.m. and the 3K and 5K run and walk will begin at 11:15 a.m. There will be music, lunch, T-shirts and information. After the run, there will be a Family Movie Day held in the Tribal gym showing "Wreck-It Ralph." Children & Family Services will serve lunch and Youth Prevention will be serving desserts, snacks, water and juice. There also will be door prizes.
