16 JULY 1,2012 Smoke Signals 2m2 13 apSDoS)tiDlfil dtiuiDos The Fish & Wildlife Department will hold its annual tag drawing for Deer, Elk, Bear and all Control Damage tags on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 5 p.m. at the Natural Resources facility, 47010 S.W. Hebo Road, Grand Ronde. APPLICATION RULES: Tribal hunting licenses are re quired before submitting appli cations with the exception that Tribal members 11 years of age may apply. However, they must turn 12 by the start of that hunt and have their Hunter's Safety Certificate. If a license is not obtained before the submitted application, all applications will be voided. Incomplete or duplicate applica tions will be voided. Tribal members under 18 years of age must posses a valid Hunter Safety Certificate. TRIBAL LICENSES are issued at the Natural Resources Division. Please call ahead of time to sched ule an appointment to obtain your license. Tribal Enrollment Cards and Hunter Safety Certificates, for youth under 18, are required at the time of licensing. ONLY ONE APPLICATION PER CATEGORY! Multiple applications will result in ALL APPLICATIONS being invalid for that hunter. Cat egories are as follows: BEAR ELK (BOW, 1ST Season, 2ND Season) o Elk Applicants: Bow tag applicants also may apply for either a 1st or 2nd season elk tag. o DO NOT APPLY FOR BOTH 1st and 2nd season, or all applications will be voided. o Bow Applicants: If you are drawn for a bow tag you will no longer be eligible for a 1st or 2nd season tag. CONTROLDAMAGE ELK: o You must write the NAME of the hunt you are applying for on your application where it asks for HUNT NAME. (Example: Wind River, West Trask, Pike, etc.) CONTROLDAMAGE DOE: Any licensed Tribal member may apply- YOUTH CONTROLDAMAGE DEER: Any licensed Tribal mem ber between the ages of 12-17 may apply. YOUTH MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Monday, JULY 16, 2012, at 5 p.m. Applications may be mailed, faxed or hand-delivered to one of the following: Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde 47010 S.W. Hebo Road P. O. Box, 10 Grand Ronde, OR 97347 Office: 503-879-2424 Fax: 503-879-5622 All tags will be available for is sue on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, beginning at 8 a.m. A Grand Ronde Tribal Hunting and Fishing License is required to be shown at time of tag pickup. No exceptions. Tag Return Deadlines In accordance with the Natural Resources Fish and Wildlife ordi nance, all tag reports (kill or no kill, and lost tags) are required TO BE REPORTED within 10 days of the last day of hunt. In an attempt to help all hunt ers achieve this, the Natural Resources Department will allow reporting of activities the following ways; Telephone at 503-879-2424, e-mail at NRDgrandronde.org; mail at P.O. BOX 10, Grand Ronde OR 97347, and in person to the Natural Resources Department, 47100 S.W. Hebo Road, Grand Ronde OR 97347 where a secured drop box is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a reminder, cards not returned within the es tablished deadlines are subject to suspension. Major holidays were considered in the establishment of tag return deadlines.
