If client has not worked for a period of time, client will need to submit a printout from their State Employment Office or printout from Oregon Self-Sufficiency Office as verification of income. Rentaldeposit or utility assistance may be utilized only one time in a 24-month rolling calendar period and is not to exceed the maximum contribution of $1,000 per household within any 24-month rolling calendar period. Medical Gas Vouchers Social Services will not provide gas vouchers for medical appoint ments, counseling or drug & alcohol treatment. The only exception to this is for scheduled treatment plans, (i.e.: radiation, chemotherapy, surgery, etc.) and has caused hardship on the family, medical gas vouchers can be distributed to meet the need of the circumstances. A copy of all scheduled treatment plans must be received before client is eligible to receive this service. Assistance will end on the date of the last treatment appointment. D Grand Roinide Royalty Royalty participants and their parent or sponsor must attend all required events (powwows, parades, fundraisers, organizational meetings and others). Absences can be prearranged with the Royalty Coordinator. Three unexcused absences will result in disqualification from Royalty. Royalty participants are expected to stay for the duration of the events. This includes helping set up for events, such as meetings and parades, as well as dancing during Grand Entry, InterTribals and staying until the flags are retired unless pre-approved with the Royalty Coordinator. Participants are expected to speak in front of large groups of people. Royalty participants must be willing and able to dance. Remember: You are all part of a team and are expected to treat yourselves, running mates and others with respect at all times. - Participating in Royalty Court is an excellent opportunity for Tribal girls and young women to learn our traditions and powwow protocol. Participants rep resent the Tribe by attending powwows and various community events. We encourage all young woman ages 5-18 to join. Participants must provide their regalia. Serving on Royalty Court requires a considerable commitment from the participant and her sponsor; travel, fundraisers, classes and meetings are required for all competing participants. Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority Opportunity for comment on GRTHA's 2011 Annual Performance Report (APR) ARRA Stimulus Grant Final Reporting Under the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-De-termination Act of 1996, (NAHASDA), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will provide grants to Indian TribesIndian Housing Authorities for the development and operation of low-income housing in Indian areas. Grants are made to eligible recipients under the Indian Housing Block Grant Program. To be eligible for the grants, respondents must submit an Indian Housing Plan that meets the minimum requirements of the Act, and also submit an Annual Performance Report to HUD, and maintain records for HUD monitoring. The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority (GRTHA) has received multiple grants under this program were active during 2010. Comments on the ARRA Stimulus Grant Annual Performance Report are welcome and cop ies of this report can be obtained at the GRTHA office or by calling 503-879-2401, or 1-800-422-0232, ext. 2401. Comments must be submitted in writing to GRTHA no later than 5 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012. All comments will be incorporated into the final report submitted to HUD. Down Payment Assistance Program The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority (GRTHA) has 2012 Down Payment Assistance available for applicants with moderate to low incomes. The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority is accepting ap plications for Rental Housing Units in Grand Ronde 1-5 bedroom sized units, many upgrades, parkingstorage, close to Tribal services. The units include washerdryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, in floor radiant heat, private patio and great views. If you work for the Tribe or casino, you pay no State Income Tax! The following screening criteria is required for the Market Rate Units: Credit history, landlord history, criminal history, income (at least three times monthly rent). One adult member of the household must be an enrolled CTGR Tribal member. HUD-assisted rental applicants must meet low-income and other federal requirements.
