Each month the Elders have a birthday meal to celebrate the birthdays of Elders that month. In addition to preparing the meals, the cooks wash and put away the clean dishes. Pay odd fid) ILolF ffTTiTDlbsiO cks Tribal Food Services is a department of three people who prepare almost 30,000 meals each year for Tribal Elders and Tribal events. In addition to the actual cooking, once a week they shop for the food for the meals. The only food they have delivered is produce. Tribal Food Service Coordinator and Tribal member Kristy DeLoe also leads cooking classes for Elders once a month, food education classes for parents whose children attend the Tribal preschool and Youth Education's Summer Cooking Camp. For the last two years she also has cooked for Youth Education's Spring Break Camp. Four days a week lunch is prepared for about 90 Elders.
