She has worked for the Department of Health Services for 26 years and has been coming to Grand Ronde once a week for about 15 years to help Tribal members with state programs, such as food stamps and the Oregon Health Plan. She said she's always enjoyed coming to Grand Ronde. qlffito Community Parenting Classes Make Parenting a Pleasure is a 6-week course that will begin March 1 3. This class focuses on self-care for parenting, ' stress & anger management, child development and alternative disciplines. This class is ideal for parents of Tribal children ages 0-8 years. Date March 13, 20 and April 3, 10, 17, 24 Time 5:30 - 8 P.M. Location , Youth Education Building Dinner, childcare for children under age 10, and gas vouchers provided on a weekly basis, (one per family) Class is limited to 1 5 parents of Tribal children. Visit www.preppc.org Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority Invitation for Bids GRTHA Office Remodel Project The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority (GRTHA) invites qualified and licensed contractors to submit a bid on a 250-square-foot office remodeling addition project. This project is funded with HUD Indian Housing Block Grant dollars and Native American preference and Tribal determined wage rates apply. To receive a bid package, send an e-mail to loyal.hamilton grandronde.org and be sure to include "Office Remodel" in the subject line. Down Payment Assistance Program The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority (GRTHA) has 2012 Down Payment Assistance available for applicants with moderate to low incomes. Although the budget for Tribally funded Down Payment Assistance has been committed for 2012, HUD funds may be available for qualified Tribal applicants whose gross, household income either meets, or is less than the guidelines below: Family size Gross income 1 $39,900 2 $45,600 3 $51,300 4 $56,950 5 $61,550 6 $66,100 7 $70,650 8 $75,200 Please call Nancy Holmes, Homeownership Coordinator, at 503-879-2445 to pre-qualify for HUD funded assistance. The Grand Ronde Tribal Housing Authority is accepting ap plications for Rental Housing Units in Grand Ronde 1-5 bedroom sized units, many upgrades, parkingstorage, close to Tribal services. The units include washerdryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, in floor radiant heat, private patio and great views. If you work for the Tribe or casino, you pay no State Income Tax! The following screening criteria is required for the Market Rate Units: Credit history, landlord history, criminal history, income (at least three times monthly rent). One adult member of the household must be an enrolled CTGR Tribal member. HUD assisted rental applicants must meet low-income and other federal requirements.
